This course is designed to introduce students to the many exciting facets of business within the global environment, its contemporary considerations and its future challenges. It lays the foundation for an understanding of the nature of the free enterprise business system and is suited to a wide variety of students: those who plan to start their own business; those who are seeking direction as to what area of business they may wish to specialise in; or those who just wish to understand the role of business in society. Businesses today face constant change—changes in their competitive landscape, changes in their workforce, changes in governmental regulation, changes in economic conditions, changes in technology, changes in everything. This course seeks to provide information that is relevant as possible to all students.
